Sister Peggy’s Legacy of Education Brunch A Success!

Peg

On April 28, 2012 more than 140 people attended a brunch at Southview Country Club in St. Paul, MN to celebrate and support Sister Peggy’s legacy of education. While old friends reconnected and new friendships were formed, we shared information about the Friends of Chimbote mission education programs and how they transform the lives of Chimbote’s youth.   Wayne Sanders served as master of ceremonies, inspiring us with a testimony about his personal mission visits and the impact they’ve had on his life. On February 25, 2012, Katie and I were thrown a Hollywood themed wedding shower by my Aunt Cathy O’Meara, Mom, and dear family friend Mary Rigney. And for those who have not made a mission visit, but who have shared in the joys of service to our friends in Chimbote through events in the United States, time shared with Chimbote friends who have come … Read more >

Relationships

Through the support of family and friends, I was given the opportunity to do range of awesome and challenging work with the non-profit “Friends of Chimbote” and the Peruvian NGO and Fr. Jack’s mission, ACAF (Civil Association for Family Support). Along with this, I experienced the various aspects of day-to-day life in Perú. It is one thing to talk about these topics but in some ways more meaningful to actually see them. Thus, I chose four pictures that I feel emphasize the principal parts of this experience. 1. Project and … Read more >
