Help with Our Annual Container Shipments
Each year, 40-foot containers are shipped to Chimbote filled with new and gently used supplies and equipment that are difficult and costly to obtain within Peru. Our container task force works with the mission staff to compile specific wish lists each year so that we are sure to collect and ship the items that are needed most. Our Home in a Box, School in a Bag, and Baby Bundles take priority because they are easy to pack and can be stored at the mission for distribution throughout the year.
In addition to collecting goods for the container, volunteer help is welcome at our container warehouse located in Shakopee, MN during the months of July, August, and September. Individuals, families, Boy Scout Troops, rotary clubs, and hundreds of others have donated their time and talent providing hands-on support of this important program.
